Unmanaged Servers

All servers are located in our primary UK datacentre located in the London Docklands. This is one of our two UK datacentres the other is near London Heathrow Airport. The London Docklands facility is ideal for your primary systems that you need to be in the heart of the UK internet sector with easy access from all over the UK. Our London Heathrow facility is used by the majority of our customers in the Docklands as a disaster recovery location for keeping active mirrors of all their equipment incase of failures. It's also an ideal primary location if you live to the north of London or in the Midlands/South West as it's only minutes away from the M4 and a 20 minute drive to Oxford.

The temperature and humidity in both of our data centres is monitored 24 hours a day and is serviced by redundant, high capacity climate control systems.

All servers are stored in electronically locked cabinets and access to the data floors is strictly controlled by proximity access cards, biometrics, 24hr on-site security staff and CCTV systems ensure no unauthorised personnel can access your servers.

All our network equipment is completely redundant with a hot-spare of every core component. This means that should there be an un-expected failure in any point of our network there is always a level of redundancy built in. Hot-spares means that there is another piece of the same networking equipment pre-configured which takes over immediately in the event of a failure, this ensures that we can honour our 100% network uptime SLA and provide you with the service you expect.

* This charge covers installation of Helm and the Single Server Licence that is owned by 4D Data Centres Limited. The client renting the dedicated server is allowed to use the licence for as long as the server is rented from 4D Data Centres Limtied. Upon termination of the server contract the Helm licence will be revoked and returned to 4D Data Centres Limited.

Monthly Contracts:

Not everyone wants to committ to 12 months with a new provider and we do have every confidence that you will be more than happy with our service we have launched 'Monthly Contracts' to give you extra reassurance.

To work out the costs of a monthly contract you simply need to add 50% onto the monthly fee's listed above and we will put you onto a 1 month contract with no minimum commitment or cancellation period. If after the first month you're not happy with our service can cancel the service with no penalty charges. Alternatively you are able to switch to our standard 12 month contract at any time to take advantage of our great rates
